Here's a downloadable PDF of John Wheatcroft's excellent practice plan from GT150 - which is out now!!
If you want to keep referring to the feature but don't like the idea of cutting it out of the magazine, you can keep the PDF version and refer to it at will, long after your mag is filed safely away. Just click on the link below...
And remember, if you want the full audio that brings this amazing feature alive, the latest issue of Guitar Techniques is on sale now!

in the first exercise you have down strokes and up strokes( economy picking) but where do i start with an up stroke or down stroke.. please dont forget some of us are not so advanced that we can do economy picking but would like to try..... would nt it have been wiser to put a small arrow with "start with down stroke then so on" now i dont know where to start because you forgot that!

I have started the practice plan and see myself progressing well. I am a little stupid though as in Example 1 (picking) Fig1.4b it says etc.
Maybe it will pop into my head and I will be able to figure out the etc yet.
I thank your magizine and the people that stock it here in Canada. Its #1 to me!

GT often uses 'etc' on a picking pattern as the stated strokes are to be repeated again for the next series of notes.
